Love your brother.
That is what I think of when I think about these past camps. I see faces. Most of them are smiling faces that are living in the joy of communion with their brother/sister.
Camp is about growing together. We grow in our knowledge of Scripture. We grow in our understanding of how to gain such knowledge. We grow by living in, through, and by those truths.
Camp is about loving your brother/sister. We look forward to it, don’t we? We get to look forward to seeing so and so and recounting all that has happened over the past year. Yet, what truly bonds the love we have for each other is abiding in Scripture together, being convicted together, confessing with each other, and seeing the grace, mercy, and love being poured out to each other because of Christ.
I think back to these past camps and I see faces and a love for them swells up within me. I am thankful how the Lord has used each individual at camp to draw me closer to Him.
23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
