Our hearts are both completely full and aching for the students who came to EQUIP Boot Camp 1! In so many ways, the morning of Day 8 of camp felt like it came too soon.
That made the studying the armor of God in Ephesians 6:10-24 that much more applicable and meaningful. As David Arthur said in the final main session of camp, “this armor is NOT the picture of a Christian who has it all together. It is the picture of one clinging to Jesus.”
We as a staff are clinging to Him today as we have used the Sabbath to reflect and remember all that God did this week through His Word. It seems insufficient to say that the whole staff was blessed by the campers, but it’s true. We have been overwhelmed at the opportunity it has been to get to know them, and to love them with the love of Christ.
For those who entered the family of God through the gift of His grace this week:
We have no words for the excitement and gratitude we’re rejoicing in! Remember what David Arther encouraged us about our walk with Christ: “this relationship is NOT maintained through your efforts!” Keep seeking Him, and be strong in the strength of HIS might (Eph 6:10).
For those who are still struggling to know where they stand in Christ:
We’re praying for you that God will open the eyes of your heart, and we trust that He is both good and capable. Pray (Ask). Seek. Repeat. We don’t tell you this to punish you, or because God wants to punish you; it’s because there is a promise! “Keep asking, and it will be given to you; keep seeking, and you will find; keep knocking and the door will be opened to you…if you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!” (Matt 7:7-11)
For those who are striving to walk in a manner worthy of their calling in Christ:
We love you. But more importantly, God in Christ with the Holy Spirit loves you. Don’t grow weary in doing good, friends. Keep surrendering to the Lord and allowing His surpassing power of grace and love to meet you in your circumstances, sanctify you from the old to the new man, fill you with all the fullness of God, and dwell in your hearts through faith.
We’re looking forward to serving you this next year through the Transform Discipleship Resources (if you don’t have an account to access these resources, here’s how you can get one), our blog, and personal relationships. Please don’t hesitate to send prayer requests to the Contact Us page! We regularly pray as a staff, and would love to intercede for you specifically.
