Have you ever become discouraged about persevering in prayer?
But we’ve also heard testimonies of spouses who have come to know the Lord after 25 years of their spouse praying for them.
That it just amazing!
But also, in the church, it’s all to easy to play the comparison game, to listen to the lies that our prayers aren’t as important, effective, holy etc.
That’s not the point of prayer.
Prayer is communication, and therefore it is effective when we p.a.r.t.i.c.i.p.a.t.e. We start now. We keep going now. We keep asking, and seeking, and listening, and believing r.i.g.h.t. n.o.w.
We are humbly persevering in the following prayer requests; and we would absolutely love to have the privilege of praying for you also. So send us an email, or comment or text!
–Pray for us as we prayerfully consider and hire who God has chosen as the new Director
–Pray for intern applications, camp applications and camp staff applications
–Pray for word about EQUIP Boot Camp to spread among high school-age students who are passionate about God’s Word
We’ll leave you with this verse on prayer that has been both convicting and comforting for us these days:
“As it is written, ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him — these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit of God searches everything, even the depths of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.” I Corinthians 2:9-11
Only God knows what He will do; so why spend all our heart-talk with ourselves, who can neither see fully nor understand fully. Instead we have the opportunity to enter into the presence of God, who is Love, and talk with Him whose ways and thoughts are not ours.
