Praying for Transformation 10/18

Change is hard. It brings at least two companions with it when it comes. The first is Grief as we wrestle with the reality of letting go. When the wrestling match is over and we are exhausted, our hearts are opened to a new emotion. This one is Anticipation that we experience as we look towards the unknown future.

At times these emotions can and will simultaneously flood and overwhelm our human hearts and minds as the process of change runs its course through us. There’s an exchange of  sorts that happens when any change is laid on the table or  brought to light.

We might agree that change is difficult and trying and refreshing and exciting all at the same time. Yet in the many waves of change in life, God is constant and more solid and faithfully unwavering than we can imagine.

We certainly feel this tug-a-war taking place in our hearts as we walk through this season of transition at Transform. It has been such a sweet time to watch God’s plan unfold before our eyes, because He has been leading each step along the way. As we think about the changes, we are reminded that God is the One who brings the different seasons, establishes the positions, and grants wisdom and understanding to each of us. Daniel proclaimed these truths as he blessed the Lord saying:

Blessed be the name of God forever and ever,

to whom belong wisdom and might.

He changes times and seasons;

he removes kings and sets up kings;

he gives wisdom to the wise

and knowledge to those who have understanding;

he reveals deep and hidden things;

he knows what is in the darkness,

and the light dwells with him.

To you, O God of my fathers,

I give thanks and praise,

for you have given me wisdom and might,

and have now made known to me what we asked of you,

for you have made known to us the king’s matter.

-Daniel 2:20-23

As we mentioned before, the Lord is continuing to be faithful to lead and guide us through this season; but we would most certainly appreciate prayer for the Lord to continue to giving wisdom and guidance in:

  •     -Hiring a new Director

  •     -Distributing the workload until the new Director is hired

  •     -Keeping the ball rolling as we plan for our summer events

On that note, we are excited to announce that Boot Camp Applications will be up THIS month and would love for you to join us in praying for

  •     -Future Boot Campers and Staff Members

These requests look so small on four little bullet points, but we know with all of our hearts that the Lord is the only ONE who can accomplish these things. We are praying we will follow Him in faith!
