Reflections on EQUIP-Boot Camp 2015: Brooke

“So, how was camp?” is a question I get A LOT once Boot Camp ends. I’m never quite sure how to answer it. It almost doesn’t feel like enough to say “good, it was really great.” Each day at camp is packed with so much….and not just activity…but LIFE.

Spending 4-5 hours a day in God’s Word with others, worshipping together, praying together, and just having fun…makes it possible for the Lord to really do a work in the life of a camper.

This year was exceptional…it was really great! We saw the Lord bring clarity to the lives of our campers. We watched as their minds were blown by His love for them. We saw others who struggled, struggled with God’s Word and the Truth they encountered. In short, the Gospel did its work! It’s hard to put it all into words…but the Lord knows the impact that was made here this summer!

Though camp has come and gone, our students still need your prayer as they continue to take steps of faith and obedience! Please pray with us that they will be like this man in Jeremiah 17:7-8.

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
    whose trust is the Lord.
He is like a tree planted by water,
that sends out its roots by the stream,
and does not fear when heat comes,
    for its leaves remain green,
and is not anxious in the year of drought,
for it does not cease to bear fruit.”
